In Need of a Lifeguard

And the drowning continues. I have to admit to seriously slacking and pretty much giving up for now. All expenses will be changing come next week. The move takes place next Thursday. I did manage to keep the truck rental costs down to about $200. I reserved a truck with Budget so that I was able to get 2 days with 128 miles included. I paid for an extra 30 miles to give myself some wiggle room. If I pay with a credit/debit card at pickup they will waive the $150 deposit on the truck.

That's all for now. Hope everyone else is doing better with their finances than I am. :)

Um -no. I've got the pay rise that we teachers fought for, coming this week with crazy pay periods after that. I have no idea what I will be earning for about 6 weeks so I have 'allowed' myself not to budget and now I am regretting it! Good luck with the move......Hope all goes well.

Here's a suggestion:

Since you've expressed an interest in tracking your expenses, you can start tracking all moving related expenses that you incur (like the truck rental).

Then you'll be used to tracking and will be able transition to tracking all of your expenses in September.

Tangent question: Are you & Mr. Irony combining expenses or keeping them separate?
